Boyles Motor Sales was established in 1949 and was originally located on West Main St. Rd. in Batavia, New York.

Vincent Fanara, the founder of Boyles Motor Sales, was a World War II Veteran and was part of the Greatest Generation. Vincent served orders in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy and received the Croix de Garre and many other battle citations during his Military Career; he was decommissioned from the Military in 1945.

After the Military, Vincent qualified for a Management Trainee position with International Harvester Company in 1946. Vincent was then assigned to the Fillmore International Branch located on Fillmore Ave in Buffalo, New York; he was promoted to District Sales Manager covering the Counties of Western New York.

In 1949, Boyles Motor Sales was located on West Main St. Rd. and was owned by William Stuart, Roy Rowcliffe and George Boyle. Unfortunately, Mr. Boyle became ill and no longer could partake in Boyles. Mr. Stuart and Mr. Rowcliffe who were well respected notable Muck Farmers in Elba, NY approached Vincent Fanara, he at that time was the Sales Rep for International Harvester and they offered him partnership in the company. In order to settle down and raise his family, Vincent accepted their offer and replaced Mr. Boyle. Vincent partnered with Bill and Roy as he managed Boyles Motor Sales while Roy and Bill continued to run their farms in Elba.

Vincent’s youngest son, John Fanara joined the company in 1980 after he received a Bachelors Degree in Business and Administration from Alfred University. John Fanara worked his way up to becoming Vice President of the Company and later branched from the Batavia location and expanded the business to Cassadaga, New York in 1992.

In 1999, Boyles Motor Sales was moved from Cassadaga to a brand new building on Strunk Rd. in Jamestown New York. In August of 2000, the Fanara’s hosted the Grand Opening for this location.

Today John Fanara is successfully running the Boyles Motor Sales in Jamestown, New York and is assisted by James J. Fanara’s youngest son, Vincent Fanara.
